Hatha yoga is een fysieke vorm van yoga, waarbij je het hele lichaam gebruikt. Dit kan op een intensieve manier zijn, maar ook op een meer ontspannen manier. Door de combinatie van lichaamsgerichte inspanning (asana) en ademhalingstechnieken (pranayama) kom je tot ontspanning. Je lichaam wordt gezonder en je bewustzijn neemt toe. Er bestaan vele soorten yoga die bijna allemaal een afgeleide van de Hatha yoga zijn.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Yoga is geschikt voor mensen van alle leeftijden. Yogahoudingen zijn er om je skelet, spieren en zenuwstelsel optimale soepelheid en kracht te geven. Yoga verdiept de adem en ontwikkelt fysieke en mentale kracht. Je balans wordt letterlijk en figuurlijk beter. Hieruit bleek dat yoga een goede uitwerking kan hebben bij bv. rugklachten, migraine en longfunctieproblemen. Yoga heeft zijn voordelen ruimschoots bewezen. Al bij \u00e9\u00e9n\u00a0keer per week kan yoga een positieve bijdragen leveren aan een betere fysieke en geestelijke gezondheid. De meeste mensen zitten na een paar lessen al beter in hun vel. Uiteraard is het effect groter als je vaker per week yoga beoefend.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Als je een actieve sport beoefent zoals hardlopen of voetbal, kan yoga leiden tot nog betere sportprestaties. Enerzijds door de fysiek gerichte Hatha Yoga te beoefenen (al dan niet dynamisch), waardoor je een beter geestelijk en lichamelijk evenwicht kunt cre\u00ebren door een combinatie van fysieke houdingen, focustraining en ademhalingsoefeningen. Anderzijds door Yin yoga te beoefenen, waardoor je een betere balans kunt vinden in spanning en ontspanning.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Alle vormen van yoga leren je beter te concentreren en te focussen.
