In ons actieve, soms stressvolle leven, is er behoefte aan rust en ontspanning. Even naar binnen keren, aandacht voor onze interne batterij. Vergelijk het eens met apparaten of een e-bike. De turbostand loslaten, jezelf toestaan om op te laden en verder te kunnen in de eco-stand. En wat kom je dan tegen als je besluit om die eco-stand in te schakelen? Het gaat je dan misschien niet snel genoeg af of je ervaart onrust. Denk je eindelijk even minder (van jezelf) te moeten, dan slaat het piekeren toe. Herken je dat bij jezelf? Dan kan mindfulness je helpen om met enige afstand naar je gedachten te kijken.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Je bent niet je gedachten, je hebt ze alleen maar. En ze gaan weer voor bij. Net als wolken in de lucht, die komen en gaan, ook al zijn het soms donkere wolken. Mindfulness helpt, net als, yoga, om je lichaam te voelen. Echter zonder intensieve yogahoudingen. Maar het is wel trainen! Zoals je bij krachttraining je spieren versterkt, versterk je met mindfulness je \u2018aandachts-spier\u2019. Het is wetenschappelijk aangetoond dat er door regelmatige mindfulnessbeoefening verbindingen ontstaan in je hersenen, waardoor je hartslag en bloeddruk verlaagd wordt. Niet zozeer inhoudelijk, maar hoe je met situaties omgaat\/kunt leren omgaan. Door de oefeningen nu nog zelf toe te passen merk ik dat ik meer ontspannen ben, beter kan luisteren naar mijn lichaam en dingen doen waar ik me goed bij voel. Het gaat een gewoonte worden om tijdens de \u2018mindere\u2019 momenten de oefeningen toe te passen. Ik kan weer beter relativeren en nadenken over wat er echt toe doet. Zo lukt ook om mijn hoofd er beter bij te houden en de dingen dus ook beter kan onthouden. Weer meer leven in het moment en genieten van kleine dingen waardeer ik nu extra.
